Play in French for for beginners
Parlez-vous Français?
Play in French (and English) for beginners learning French
Play touring Jan - July 2027
The school ski trip to France should be full of fun and adventure… but if anyone is going to have an accident, it’s going to be Archie - the class clown!
And sure enough, on day one, his silly behaviour lands him in hospital.
Things quickly get trickier when his teacher is called away to deal with another emergency, leaving Archie all alone in a French hospital where nobody speaks English!
With only his very basic French to help him, Archie must explain what’s wrong, ask for help, and try to understand what everyone is saying.
What could possibly go wrong? - Quite a lot!
Full of funny misunderstandings, silly mix-ups, and lots of laughter, this charming comedy shows just how easy (and hilarious!) learning a new language can be.
A fun, fast-paced play performed in both French and English, perfect for 8-12's who are learning French and guaranteed to have everyone laughing!

...level of French was just right
...to say how very much we all enjoyed yesterday's performance of Shipwrecked en France. It was very funny and the level of French was just right for our audience. The children loved being invited up on stage. I must also say how very nice Sebastian and Marie were. The whole thing was great. Thank you!

...outstanding..
The comment that kept coming back was 'inclusivity'. The children felt included in the play, which I think is challenging to achieve.
A huge thank you and well done to Sebastian Imas and Marie Maillot for their outstanding and funny performance!
A clearly professional duo!
